What's on Your Prosperity Menu?
Friday, January 1, 2010 at 3:36PM Good morning and welcome to 2010 - can you believe it?
Football is on in the background and I anticipate the smell of black eyed peas seasoned liberally with pork fat to fill the room soon. For the clan of Southern transplants I tend to run around with here in the Napa Valley, Prosperity Meals typically include offensive portions of black eyed peas, collard greens and pork products, all designed to bring health and wealth to us for the year - so the more we shovel in the merrier.
I'm curious. What do YOU eat at your prosperity table? And why? I'd really love to know.

I love meals with meaning, and while I love the idea of eating foods meant to bring prosperity to your year, I always feel that the real prosperity is in gathering together with the people you love. Sitting down and dining together sets a great precedent for the rest of the year.
I can't put my finger on it, but 2010 already seems to be explosive with meaning. I can't wait to see what it brings my family, friends, colleagues and yes, myself. Cheers to 2010 - Make it an adventure.
